Information on Volunteering

All Volunteers, Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Buddies associated with Challenger Little League are required to complete the Registration Form, which can be accessed and submitted and/or printed online. Coaches and Assistant Coaches are required to print, complete, and return the Background Check Form,to a designated Challenger Little League Board Member. The Background Check Form can be accessed here on our Web Site.

  • Coach Requirements
    1. Attend all games, Picture Night, Opening Day activities, and the Kick-off event.
    2. Contact all players' families, via the Team Roster, to discuss important dates, parent concerns and player strengths.
    3. Set up for each game, organize equipment and batting order.
    4. Determine pitching duties; Assistant Coach and/or Volunteers may pitch.
    5. Support individual players to achieve their personal best at each game.
    6. Notify Assistant Coach(s) and the designated Team Board Member, if you are unavailable to coach at a game at least a week in advance.
    7. Provide collaborative leadership for the Team, Assistant coach(s), Team Manager, Volunteer(s) and Players.
    8. Have fun.
  • Assistant Coach Requirements
    1. Attend all games, Picture Night, Opening Day activities, and the Kick-off event.
    2. Set up for each game and organize equipment as per Coach's request.
    3. During the game, assist players to locate their assigned field position, bat, helmet, etc.
    4. Support individual players to achieve their personal best at each game.
    5. Notify Assistant Coach(s) and the designated Team Board Member, if you are unavailable to coach at a game at least a week in advance.
    6. Have fun.
  • Buddy Requirements
    1. Attend all games, Picture Night, Opening Day activities, and the Kick-off event.
    2. Complete a time sheet to be turned in at the end of the season. Challenger Little League will provide documentation to you regarding the number of volunteer hours you have completed for the High School Service Hour requirements.
    3. Speak with the Parents of your player to have a better understanding of your player and the best ways you can help.
    4. Get to know your player, figure out ways to keep them ways to help them stay focused on the game.
    5. During game, assist players to locate their assigned field location, bat, helmet, assist with batting and running bases.
    6. Support individual players to achieve their personal best at each game.
    7. Notify the Coach, Assistant Coach(s) and the designated Team Board Member, if you are unavailable to Buddy at a game at least a week in advance.
    8. Have fun.
  • Volunteer Requirements
    1. Get to know your player, figure out ways to keep them ways to help them stay focused on the game.

    3. Support individual players to achieve their personal best at each game.
